One of the prime principles of naturopathic medicine is “First Do No Harm” (Primum Non Nocere). As a naturopathic physician, I use my training to avoid harming you as the patient. I undertake methods and prescribe medicinal substances that minimize the risk of harmful side effects, using the least invasive tactics possible to diagnose and treat disease. I provide more than one option for treatment, provide all the pros and cons about each option and let you as the patient decide. For instance, if I suggest high dose vitamin C I will be sure to let you know that kidney stones are a possible complication and share the symptoms to watch out for. When possible I avoid the harmful suppression of symptoms. I acknowledge, respect, and work with each of your self-healing processes and realize that each journey begins with one step forward.
